The program at the library this evening was an engaging and interactive talk titled Preserving Community Character given by Al Lima, a municipal planner and author of a book of the same title. The topic was very timely. Lima spoke about envisioning and planning for the future, about preservation planning, and planning for growth. Most of his talk related specifically to Bolton and a portion was devoted to thoughts about the Smith property. One of his most compelling recommendations was to produce graphic representations and perspectives of different possible uses for the Smith property for residents and town leaders to review.
